I made a fun slimline card where I combined a few different products from the new release. I LOVE this Fall/Winter themed release so so much!
I started by die cutting a slimline rectangle out of Bristol Smooth cardstock. It measures 3 by 8 inches. I did some ink blending on it, using my beloved Oxide inks in the colors Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral and Seedless Preserves.
Then I die cut the new Bonnie Birch Trees 2 times out of Kraft cardstock. This backdrop die is fit for a A2 sized card, but can easily be altered to fit a slimline. I added some interest to the trees by blending a bit of regular Distress in Vintage Photo on the right side of every tree. Then I put liquid glue on every tree and put them on my blended slimline panel. Trees are sticking out on the left and right, and on the bottom and top. When the glue was dry, I just trimmed off the excess trees with my scissors. So easy to use these trees on this slimline card!
Then I die cut the Scalloped Slimline Peekaboo out of regular white cardstock. I put foam strips all around the back of this frame, peeled off the liner paper and adhered it to the panel.
Time to work on those cute images now! I used the new Mischief Makers and Camping Critters and stamped lots of images of both sets with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink onto Heffy Doodle alcohol marker friendly cardstock. I always let it dry for about 5 minutes (but I don’t think you have to!) and then I colored all those adorable images. You can find a list of the Copic Markers I used below.

Of course, I die cut the images with the coordinating dies and the Heffy Doodle mini die cutting machine.
I played around with the placement, but decided to work on my sentiment first. I chose the ‘Have a wild and wonderful birthday’ from the Mischief Makers stamp set. I stamped it with Versamark ink on Oreo Crush cardstock, sprinkled on white embossing powder and heat set it with my heat tool.
I decided to die cut the sentiment with a speech bubble from the fun Look who’s Talking dies. I popped it up with a few foam squares. Then I placed all my other critters around the sentiment. All the larger images were adhered with foam squares. The leaves and those little accessories were put down with liquid glue.
I really love how this card turned out! So happy with it!
Love, Jarle x
