Hi sweet friends!
I wanted to share this card with you that I made for Cloud9 Crafts store. There is a new sentiment this month and it’s called: Big Sentiments. So take out your alpha dies and/or alpha stamps and start creating! You can win a €20 gift certificate to the Cloud9 Crafts store if you post your card on Instagram and/or Facebook with the hashtag #c9craftschallenge.
I made this sweet scene with a few older Lawn Fawn stamp sets. You can find a full supply list here. Let’s see how this card came together.

I started by die cutting 2 rectangles out of Bristol Smooth cardstock. One was for the background. The other one was used to create grassy hills. So I took that rectangle and die cut 2 borders out of it. You can see it in the picture below.

For my borders, I used Distress Oxides in the colors Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio. I thought this worked great with my light blue background. For that one, I used Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers. I also splattered on some Liquid Stardust. Since I wanted the card to be in a ‘bubble’ theme, I layered one of the Bubble Background stencils on my background panel and smeared on Fairy Dust glitter paste. If I were to do this again, I would have skipped the shimmer splatters and just added the glitter paste with the stencil. But I also didn’t want to throw away this shimmery blue panel, so I did end up using it. Never throw your gorgeous work away. Never ever! (We are our own worst critic) 🙂

I let my panel dry completely and I moved on to stamping all my images from the sets Bubbles of Joy and Dandy Day. I stamped them on Transotype Perfect Coloring paper with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I colored my images with my Copic Markers:
- Mice:
- E55 – E53 – E51
- E44 – E43 – E41
- E33 – E31 – E00
- R20 – R00
- Bubbles: RV000 / R000 – YR00 – Y00 – G000 – BG000 – B000 – BV0000
- Handle: R85 – R83
When everything was colored, I cut them out with the coordinating dies.
So time to work on the sentiment. I die cut the Scripty Hello out of Ballet Slippers cardstock. I did put on a bit of Oxide ink in Picked Raspberry on the bottom edges. I find it gives a bit of added interest to a plain die cut.

I adhered the grassy borders onto my background panel with dry adhesive. Before adhering my images, I placed them down to know exactly where I wanted everything, including my sentiment. So i adhered the sentiment first and then I put down all my other images. For most of them, I used little foam squares.

To finish it off I placed a few glittery Nuvo Drops all over the scene. I thought these worked well with the overall theme of this card.
I hope you feel inspired to create a card yourself. Have an amazingly creative day!
Love, Jarle xx
