Hi you!

The current Lawn Fawn Challenge is called: ‘CASE yourself’. It ends tomorrow… The goal of this challenge is to go through your card designs and pick one to recreate. I already made a card for my mom, so I thought it would be fun to make one for my dad too, using the same design but different colors.

This is the card I created a while ago:

Since I wanted it to be a more masculine card, I decided I should switch the colors. I stamped my images from the LF – Rawrsome set and watercolored them with my Zigs using the colors: Violet / Deep Violet / Blue Gray / Deep Blue / Fog Gray / Mid Brown.

For my galaxy background, I used my Distress Oxides in the colors: Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I splattered on white gouache for the stars. Note: A galaxy background ALWAYS looks like a total mess, until you splatter on the stars. That’s when the magic starts to happen…

For my die cutting, I took my Lawn Fawn – Woodgrain Backdrop and die cut this out of Neenah Desert Storm paper. My frame was created by using the Lawn Fawn – Scalloped Rectangle Frames out of regular white cardstock.

I adhered my Neenah panel on the card base and the frame on the galaxy background. My images were adhered using foam squares for dimension.

Challenge complete!

I hope I gave you some inspiration to make someone’s heart happy.

Love, Jarle x
