No line coloring with a new Mama Elephant stamp set!

For the first time, I’m participating in the Daily Marker 30 day coloring challenge. This challenge is all about finding some time every day to do a little bit of coloring. I decided it might be fun to color a bunch of stamps that I can turn into quick cards later…

For day 2 of the challenge, I colored the little elephants and mice from the new ‘Mama Elephant – Flying with Friends’ stamp set. I stamped them onto Bristol Smooth paper with Distress ink in Antique Linen. I used my Zigs to watercolor them. The coloring process took quite a bit of time… The colors I used, were:

• Elephant: Light Gray / Pale Gray
• Elephant – ears: Flesh Color
• Elephant – eyes and mouth: Brick Beige
• Mice: Green Gray / Pale Gray
• Balloons: Pale Green / Green Shadow and Light Blue / Shadow Mauve

For my card panel, I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb. I blended some clouds with my MFT stencil in Distress Oxide – Spun Sugar. I stamped an Altenew sentiment on the bottom of the card.

I adhered 2 elephants and 1 mouse with foam squares onto the panel. To finish off the card, I glued some Darice iridescent sequins down.

I’m very happy with the softer look of the card. Glad it turned out okay!
