Hi crafty friends!

The end of August is getting closer but I’m still denying summer is almost over. That’s why I created this summery shaker card for ANY festive occasion!

You can find all the supplies I used here.

I started with my shaker piece, which is the cocktail glass and of course… my favorite bit of this card 🙂 I did this with the Lawn Fawn Build A Glass – Cocktail Add-On.

First I did all my die cutting: I die cut the backside piece of the cocktail out of clear acetate and out of the watermelon paper from the Fruit Salad Paper Pack. After that I die cut the cocktail frame once out of the aqua textured cardstock. I also die cut it 6 times out of plain white cardstock.

I stacked all the white pieces on top of each other. On the back of these stacked pieces, I adhered the watermelon piece. Then I took the pretty teal frame and I adhered the acetate on the back of that one.

Time to add the sequins: I chose the Fruit Cocktail Mix (Buttons Galore) and Ice Cubes (Picket Fence). I love the combination of colors and those teeny tiny ice cubes. I poured these into the stacked die cuts. When I was happy with the amount, I adhered the teal frame with the acetate on top with liquid glue. This created my shaker glass. To decorate it some more, I die cut the toothpick out of Woodgrain cardstock, the decoration out of the same textured cardstock and the cherry out of Apricot cardstock. I ink blended a bit of Picked Raspberry on the cherry and adhered everything together and placed it on my cocktail glass. Isn’t it super cute?!

For my backgrounds, I die cut 2 of the Large Mini Slimline stackables out of the Fruit Salad paper pad. I did one in Gingham style and one with the cute lemons on it. I just stacked these on top of each other with dry adhesive.

Then I took out the Mama Elephant Let’s Chat die set. I chose 3 speech bubbles and die cut them out of Lawn Fawn Apricot, Sticky Note and Mermaid Cardstock. I did ink blend the edges a bit with Distress ink in respectively Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed and Peacock Feathers.

I stamped 3 little sentiments on those speech bubbles that say ‘cheers’: one in Dutch, one in French and one in Spanish. I did this with Versamark ink and Lawn Fawn Harold’s ABC’s.

After that I played around with the placements of the speech bubbles and the cocktail shaker. When I was happy with the result, I adhered everything down on to the mini slimline background panel. I put this whole card on an mini slimline white card base which is 3 by 6 inches.

I hope you like this bright summery card. Thank you so much for being with me today. I really appreciate it! Have a great day!

Love, Jarle x
