Hi friends!
I’m back with a very clean and simple card where I focused on coloring with my Polychromos pencils. I just wanted to relax and not worry about a specific design too much.

I took out an older stencil from Simon Says Stamp, called Daisy Bouquet. I placed it on a piece of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock (which is 80lb I think). I used a Paper Pouncer and white pigment ink to pounce the white ink on my kraft panel. I removed the stencil and the bouquet of daisies is now transferred on my card panel with white ink.

I colored the whole design with only a few Polychromos:
- Leaves: 162 and 159 (+ white)
- Dots: 119 and 135
- Petals 129 and 125 (+ white)
I always start with the lightest shade and then I add my darker shade. When I find it necessary, I add a bit of white pencil on the spot where a highlight should be. I just blend it out with the lighest shade as well.
They key to working with colored pencils is: LAYERS! Lots of layers. Start with a very gentle hand without pressing down too much. Add layers until you get an ‘even’ result.
I adhered my panel (which is slightly smaller than A2 size) on a white card base.

For my sentiment, I stamped a little ‘happy birthday’ out of the Simple Sentiments set from Pretty Pink Posh with Versafine Onyx Black ink on a scrap piece of white paper. I die cut it with a sentiment strip and placed it on the card with a little foam strip.
This card really doesn’t need anything else, I think. I hope this gave you a little bit inspiration. Thank you so much for being here. I appreciate your support! Have a great day.
Love, Jarle x
