Hi sweet friends!

I have a very easy but sweet card to share with you today. It involves a bit of blending and just a little bit of coloring. Let’s see how this card came together!

You can find a full supply list here.

I started by die cutting the Lawn Fawn Dotted Moon and Stars Backdrop out of Bristol Smooth cardstock. You probably already know that this is my go to cardstock for ink blending. If you have trouble with blending, you should definitely try out the Bristol Smooth. I took out my beloved Distress Oxides and with my Taylored Expressions brushes, I created a fun rainbow blend. I used the colors Wilted Violet, Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron and Peacock Feathers.

I trimmed down a piece of Lawn Fawn Sticky Note cardstock to A2 size (4,25×5,5 inches) and adhered it on the back of the blended panel.

For my images, I used the Lawn Fawn Elephant Parade stamp set. I stamped them on Transotype Perfect coloring paper with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink. I colored the images with my Copic Markers. You can find the colors I used below. After the coloring, I die cut them with the coordinating dies.

  • Elephants: W4 – W2 – W1 – W00
  • Banner: B00 – B000
  • Hearts: R85 – R83 – R81 (This combination is one of my favorites!)
  • Baby Crown: YG07 – B23 – B21

I decided I wanted a big sentiment, so I took Lawn Fawn Henry’s ABC’s and die cut them out of Bristol Smooth again. I blended all the letters with Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick. This gave my letters a cool gradient. Welkom is the Dutch word for ‘Welcome’ by the way… 🙂

To frame my card panel, I die cut the largest of the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle Frames out of Transotype coloring paper. I adhered this frame on my panel with liquid glue. Then I placed my die cut letters on the panel as well. I made sure I was happy with the spacing. Then I glued them down, started with the middle letters and worked my way from the inside outwards.

The cute little elephants were adhered with Scrapbook Adhesives Foam Squares. After putting the panel on a white card base, I decided I wanted to add a little bit of shimmer on the hearts. So first, I went in with a glitter pen and then I added Glossy Accents on top.

I really hope I gave you some inspiration. Rainbow blending, paired with cute images… That’s always a good idea, isn’t it?

Thank you SO much for stopping by! You made my heart happy. Have an amazing day!

Love, Jarle x
