Hi you!

I’m here today, showing you a card I made with the Nautical stamp set and the Sea Friends set. The Nautical set went live with the May release and I already made a few cards with it.

I started this card by stamping all my images on Neenah 80lb cardstock, using Copic friendly black ink. I colored them all with my Copic markers.

The colors I used, are listed below:

  • Greys: N4 / N2 / N0
  • Reds: R39 / R27 / R24 – R24 / R22 / R20
  • Greens: G24 / G21 / G20
  • Blue Greens: BG18 / BG15 / BG32
  •  Pinks: R85 / R81 / V000

As always, I used my coordinating dies, to cut all the images out.

For the ocean, I used Distress Oxides in the colors Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Chipped Sapphire. For the sky, I blended Tumbles Glass onto my card panel.

I splattered some Perfect Pearls solution to add a bit of interest to my ocean.

I decided I wanted a sand border on the bottom of my card. For this I used Antique Linen and Gathered Twigs. I also splattered a bit of Gathered Twigs combined with water onto that little border.

Time to decide where to place all my images… Here I discovered that my lighthouse was floating in the air and I didn’t like that, so I blended another little piece of cardstock with some Ground Espresso.

I adhered the images, using liquid glue and some foam squares. I like the variety in dimension on cards. This creates the illusion that some images are more near than others. I like that look…

I stamped a sentiment from the Sea Friends stamp set on black cardstock and heat embossed it in white. I placed this on my sand border at the bottom of the card.

To finish off the card, I added some Clear droplets 6mm and 4mm. This gives the idea of little water bubbles so it goes perfect with this!

I struggled with this card, especially with the placement of the images and that lighthouse… But I like how it eventually turned out!

I hope you like it too. Have a great day!

Love, Jarle x
