Hi you!

So… I made another Christmas card again 🙂 I know it’s way too soon, but first of all: I just LOVE making Christmas cards. Second of all: if I don’t make them all year long, I never get finished on time 🙂

I started this card by making my background. I took a piece of Canson XL watercolor paper that was slightly larger than an A2 sized panel. I taped it to a board and watercolored it with the Gansai Tambi watercolors 50 – 56 – 57. I let the panel dry completely while stamping my images from the Mama Elephant – Fuzzy Hugs set.

I watercolored my images using the Zig markers and an Escoda brush. The colors I used:

  • Oatmeil / Beige
  • Lilac / Light Violet
  • Pale Gray
  • Blush

After they were all colored, I die cut them out with my Big Shot machine.

I also die cut the Mama Elephant – Forest Cover die out of some white paper and put a piece of acetate on the back. I doubled up some foam tape and put this on the back of this  cover, along the edges.

I sprinkled some sequins inside. The sequins I used are from Little Things from Lucy’s cards. I chose the Minty Gold ones. I put my watercolored background panel on top and my shaker card was ready!

Tip: Before putting all the sequins in the middle of your shaker area, you should go along the edges of the foam tape with your anti static powder tool. This prevents the sequins sticking to the tape…

I hope I gave you some inspiration to make someone’s heart happy.

Love, Jarle x
