A friendship card with Mama Elephant!

I took out a stamp set I haven’t used quite as much as the others: Mama Elephant – Picnic with Friends. 

I stamped the images on Bristol Smooth paper and watercolored them with my Zigs. The colors I used, are listed below:

• Light Brown / Brown
• Light Beige
• Shadow Mauve / Light Blue
• Cool Gray
• Mustard
• Pink Flamingo
• Red / Deep Red

I wanted to keep the background fairly simple. After I die cut a panel Neenah paper with the Mama Elephant – Basic Rectangles, I masked off a banner at the bottom of the card. I ink blended this with Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron and Spun Sugar. I used some Squeezed Lemonade too, but you can’t really tell in the end result…

After the ink blending, I stamped my sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink. Then I adhered all my colored images on the banner with foam squares for dimension.

I also cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Paper (Knock on Wood) and adhered it onto my card base. After that, I adhered my card panel. To finish off the card, I put down some sequins from Gorjuss.
