Hi you!

For this card, I die cut a panel out of some Bristol Smooth paper, using the Mama Elephant – Basic Rectangles die set. I used the second largest, because I wanted a white border on my card.

I stamped the images from the Pretty Pink Posh – Happy Mail set, using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I then took my Zigs and a paintbrush to watercolor those images. The colors I used, are listed below:

  • Emerald Green and Deep Green
  • Dark Oatmeal and Dark Brown
  • Red and Deep Red
  • Pale Rose
  • Persian Green
  • Fog Gray and Gray
  • Cobalt Blue and Persian Blue

When the coloring was done, I decided I wanted a soft ink blended background. I had to mask the images to obtain the look I wanted. If I were to do this again, I would have first blended my background before all the coloring…

So I stamped the images again on a full stick Post-It and fussy cut them out. This is my least favorite thing to do… Fussy cutting. Really, not my cup of tea!

When I positioned the masks, I blended the background with Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron, Spun Sugar and Shaded Lilac. I splattered some water on top to gain a bit of interest.

I carefully removed the masks so my card panel was nearly finished. I put the panel on my card base (A2 sized) and adhered a few sequins from Pretty Pink Posh – Confetti.

All done!

I hope I gave you some inspiration to make someone’s heart happy.

Love, Jarle x
