A rawrsome birthday card

Hi you!

I’m kinda into interactive cards lately, so I wanted to add something interactive to this one. I chose the LF – Lift the flap die for this.

I started by stamping and coloring all my images from the Lawn Fawn – Rawrsome set. For the first time, I used the Gina K amalgam ink and I love it. It gives a crisp image and a dark black outline. Just the way I like it… To watercolor, I used my Zigs:

• English Lavender / Lilac / Flesh Colour
• Dull Blue / Deep Blue
• Violet
• Light Gray / Fog Gray / Gray Brown
• Party hats: Wine Red / Green / Lemon Yellow

I cut 2 small rectangles out of the Mama Elephant – Basic Rectangle die set. I ink blended both panels, using the MFT – Cloud stencil and Distress Oxides in Mermaid Lagoon. For the ground, I used the color Gathered Twigs. Since the ground wouldn’t show on the second panel, I only did this to 1 panel.

I die cut the medium sized flap out of the LF – Lift the Flap dies to create my interactive element.

I trimmed down a piece of paper out of the LF – Let’s polka in the meadow paper pad. I adhered this to the card base. After that, I adhered my 2 rectangles (the one with the flap goes on top) and placed all of the critters onto the card. To finish, I stamped my sentiment, although I should’ve done this before adhering everything…
