Hi you!
For this post, I created two cards using the Cosmic Shimmer Pastes. I cut out two panels (white and black) from regular cardstock. When using paste, I always make sure that my panels are slightly larger than an A2 sized card so I can trim of the edges at the end.
For the black card, I used the Neat&Tangled – Dimensional Triangles stencil. For the white one, the Altenew – Spring Garden stencil. I made sure my stencils couldn’t move while applying the paste. The colors of paste I used: ‘Ocean Spray’ and ‘Egyptian Blue’. I started with the ‘Ocean Spray’, I then mixed some of that color with the ‘Egyptian Blue’, before applying the ‘Egyptian Blue’ itself. You always get a better gradient look when you mix the colors together in the middle… I let the panels dry overnight before moving on with the cards.Important: Always immediately wash of your stencils when you’re done applying paste!
I took a (smaller) circle die, placed it on my cards and put it in my diecutting machine so a circle was cut out. I then took a slightly larger circle die to die cut a circle out of vellum paper. It’s important to use a bigger circle so you can adhere the vellum to the back of the card panel without any glue showing.
I heat embossed my sentiment (from Mama Elephant – Garden Frame) on the vellum circles and adhered it to my card panel, before gluing it all to a card base.
I hope I gave you some inspiration to make someone’s heart happy.Love, Jarle x
