Hi you!

It’s been a while since I took out my Altenew watercolor paints… I immediately fell in love with them again. They are very easy to work with and the colors are simply beautiful.

I stamped 2 branches of the ‘Altenew – Leaf Canopy‘ set. I used Versafine Onyx Black ink and Strathmore watercolor paper. I knew I wanted to die cut a circle afterwards so I took my circle die to get the placement right.

I watercolored the leaves, using different watercolor paints. I slowly built up the color of the leaves. For me, working in layers works best… I used the colors: Bamboo, Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades. For my sky, I used Desert Night.

To add a little bit of interest to the card, I die cut the ‘Altenew – Dotted Scales‘ out of some Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. I die cut my circle out of the painted panel and adhered this on top of the Neenah cardstock with some foam tape. I wrote a little sentiment on the same color of cardstock and placed it in the circle. After adhering my panel to a white card base, my card was finished!

I hope I gave you some inspiration to make someone’s heart happy.

Love, Jarle x
