No line coloring with colored pencils

Today I decided to do a little bit of coloring with my colored pencils. It’s been awhile since I used them…

First I die cut an A2 sized panel of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock with Mama Elephant – Basic Rectangles. I stamped my flower, using the ‘Altenew – Handpicked Bouquet’ stamp set and Versamark embossing ink. This gave me a clear outline of the image.

I took out my Faber Castell – Polychromos in the colors:

• Leaves: 171 – 112 – 167
• Pink flowers: 129 – 123
• White/yellow flower: 103 – 102 – 108

I started with pointing out the highlights with my white pencil. Then I laid down the shadow with the darkest colors. I blended this all in going from light to dark and vice versa.

When the coloring was finished, I stamped my sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink. After adhering the panel on a card base, I put down some iridescent sequins from Darice.
