Hi you!
For this card, I wanted to put the fairy image in the spotlight of attention. Literally… 🙂

To create this card, I stamped one of the fairies of the MFT – Fairy Happy onto some Bristol Smooth cardstock (4 1/4 – 5 1/2 inch). I stamped it again on masking paper and fussycut the image out so I could make a one-layered card. (I hate fussy cutting by the way, so I very rarely make one-layered cards.)
When the image was masked, I took some Post-it tape en created the spotlight. I blended the Distress Inks in the colors ‘Squeezed Lemonade’, ‘Scattered Straw’ and ‘Mustard Seed’. When this was done, I moved the masking tape so I could blend the blue background. The colors I used were: ‘Tumbled Glass’, ‘Peacock Feathers’ and ‘Blueprint Sketch’. Very important: I splattered some pearlescent water onto the panel for a shiny finish!
I removed the masking tape and the masking paper so from here on, I just had to color the fairy. I used my Zigs to watercolor them. Below you’ll find a short list of the colors:
- Skin: Flesh Colour, Blush
- Hair: Ochre, Mustard
- Flower: Orange, Pale Green
- Dress: Light Pink, Peach Pink
- Wings: Shadow Mauve, Light Blue
Stamping a sentiment, adhering this panel to a card base and you have a (not so) one-layered card! 🙂

I hope I gave you some inspiration to make someone’s heart happy.
Love, Jarle x
